New Everton Stadium

If it's a true north/south pitch, I can't see how it's going to fit. The stands around Goodison are tight to the pitch as it is.

We have the whole of the southern land bank of the dock and from what we've seen so far the stand extends right up to the boundary of Nelson. There will be pedestrian access east to west underneath the upper tiers. It's very tight nonetheless.

You can see from your pic that there is quite a bit more space. The ground will go right up to the boundary line, meaning from a bird's eye perspective the back of the stand will almost be in the adjoining Nelson dock.

It will be tight no doubt and like @MickA says it has forced the designers to create thoroughfare access to the west stand inside the north/south ends.

Walkways will be under the north and south stands sacrificing concourse space, which does concern me.

I know what you mean but it should still feel luxuriously open compared to Goodison. Looking at the plans we have so far if the smaller lower concourse is only for the first say 20 rows and the far larger upper concourse is for the next 40/50 rows it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Perhaps you might be able to go out onto the walkway during the game (HT) also, which will free up the inside a bit and give people a perfect place to roam by the water while having a beer and a snack.

The west and east stands won't have any issues and be totally up to modern standards. The north I guess will be a bit of a squeeze in comparison to the rest.

LSU new locker room looks smart dont think our new ground will have this much space for the locker room

WTF are you taking about? I have "no idea" whether the club has planning permission? We dont. An application hasn't been submitted yet. And the funding: last word on the subject from the club is that "it remains challenging".

Unreal.
I was referring to your suggestion regarding finance, Dave, not planning permission. Nobody knows a jot about the financing.

TBH I'm expecting park end levels of concourse. The bigger areas will be corporate only. No chance of walkway, ticket issues etc.
