Looking at it objectively, I would think it is obvious that the design is influenced by and sympathetic to its setting. The scale and massing is very similar to the dock warehouses and the materials are in keeping with the traditional dock structures.

However, I have worked with many conservationist zealots and it is anybody's guess how Unesco will react.

I would hope that the Secretary of State will see that the benefits of this development by far outweigh the relatively low conservation impacts, and that the infrastructure is already being created to cope with the local impacts.

Not with that mate. I know it's boring, but planning matters generally are.

I am simply hoping that the obvious benefits of this development will avoid any need for an expensive and time consuming call-in by the Secretary of State.

I genuinely don't see that this will cause any significant harm to the WHS.
