New Everton Stadium

NO WHAT im saying is , hes skimping on paying for a good manager and good players, hes skimping on a new ground , 500m is half of what spurs have just paid for theirs .. regardless if it its London or not , as we are building on a dock in a WHS so that evens that out...

he is skimping on capacity as that also greatly effects cost

and now it seems as per the rumours , he not that willing to go spending 100m just in the ground...

hes here to make money

THAT IS ALL HE HERE FOR

If he's here for pure profit id have directed him to a nice little site that needed no work, could easily build a 62k stadium for around 300m and would probably be built now.

StoneBridge Cross Frank, was literally just sitting there for him

you are completely restricted in how you can go about things …

it makes life extremely difficult.

same as renovating a grade one listed house … everything has to be done to a requirement

so yes, it does impact cost and time scales

It absolutely doesn't @Frang. UNESCO have no legal standing in the planning world, in the ownership of the land, in anything. They are an agency who maintain a list of nice places. If the city want to listen to them, they can or they can choose to ignore them. It has no bearing on what you can build, where or out of what. That is what planning laws are for. The only thing UNESCO can do is, after the event, remove WHS.

Case in point: Ghent, (Where I live) has 2 medieval cathederals and a medieval belfry in a line of 300m in the centre of the town, linked by 2 beautiful squares surrounded other lovely buildings. The mayor decided to construct this thing in the middle of one of them to have open air concerts and public events under (he does a speech at new year every year and gives everyone a beer, good guy). The whole area is a WHS

UNESCO cried blue murder when planning was granted, saying they would take WHS status away and it was a scandal, act of vandalism etc etc.... It's there now and so is the WHS. Because Tiernant told them to get tae.

So, explain to me why that;s an issue.

edit : ive worked on WHS and listed buildings

Listed buildings, they have problems working on yes. WHS is a list of nice places.

Can you give me an example of UNESCO preventing a new build, please?

Didn't spuds also build industrial units and a hotel(s) on site too, added to London coatings and they just aren't comparable to bmd

Club offices/supermarket/school are to the north (all within Lilywhite House). This was built first a few years before the stadium.

Stage 2 was the stadium, club shop and museum (Tottenham Experience)

A hotel, residential towers and sports centre are yet to come in the south of the plot, along with the Community Health Centre next to Lilywhite House. This will be stage 3 of the project.

Absolutely sihte location in a horrible area with no potential and awful public transport and no pubs. No thanks.

Alan Stubbs' wife telling the wife of a poster on here at the hairdressers that he'd got the job instead of Martinez is a great example of why he should be fired into the sea

I picture Alan Stubbs kissing his wife goodbye every morning as he headed off to hide in a pub all day, wearing Everton training gear... Like an office worker too cowardly to tell his wife he's lost his job.

I wonder how long it took him to come clean.
