New Everton Stadium

Whats with the 4 years fella ?

Bramley Moore Dock was aquired November 2017 , its 2 years not 4.

The land was bought in 2016, so sorry it's been 3 years not 4. That should be enough time to find funding in my opinion, especially when you take into account the early timelines that were spoke about and Moshiri stating he wanted to get this done before we turned into a museum.

And what makes you think Moshiri has a pressing need to inform Jake off the internet about the inner workings including financing the stadium build ?
Moshiri (who specialises in finance) and his associates will only inform anyone outside of that circle when the time is right and more importantly the stadium deal is done.....and rightly so.

2 years fella....2 years.....not long to wait now.

Nothing, clearly nothing makes me thinks Moshiri feels any pressing need to inform us because he hasn't done so.

Obviously they aren't going to tell us until the deal is signed.

How many more years are they going to need? They've had 3 already and gone from funding from the council to absolute radio silence for the past 2 years.

I look forward to the next AGM and whether we will finally get told some positive news about the funding or if we will get more "Watch this space" type of a placeholder comment.

Pretty sure we have hired a couple of financial experts to select the most suitable financial model for the stadium and I for one am glad they're not revealing anything as that would be financial suicide when it comes to the negotiation.

November 2017 Everton fc and Peel agreed a 200 year lease for Bramley Moore Dock.
2016 Everton where linked with Stonebridge Cross & Clarence Dock.

Its widely publicized , so it is 2 years.

Not one peep from the club about any funding from the Council or any other stream .....just as it should be.

There is no need whatsoever to inform anyone of where , how & when funding is in place unless you are part of the Stadium build process.

So just sit back and let the relevent parties do their thing.( especially Moshiri for finance as that is what he excells in)
As we can all see it wont be long now.

Wrong on two counts
As the previous poster just said, it was 2017

Also, there's an agreement to lease the land, not buy it, and that agreement is dependent on planning permission being granted.

You don't need to be a financial genius to realise If the lease agreement is dependent on planning permission, then would it be a massive surprise to learn that financing is also dependent on the planning process in some shape or form.

but it has not been radio silence has it? they have said many times they are talking to parties in the private sector regarding finance & we all know about the council proposal. They said planning to be put in back end of this year, they have been on time with the other key dates so far. Literally nothing to see here but rumours......

Joe Anderson tweeted about the Bramley Moore deal in August 2016.

As for trusting Moshiri you do realise that it usually isn't the role of an accountant to go out and secure funding. Securing funding is about wooing people with presentations and selling them on your project. For that you need a flamboyant salesman not a staid accountant.
