New Everton Stadium

We need to be able to move 1000s of people post game, from A to B...and maybe A to C in about 90mins.

Who is going to provide all the buses, taxis, trains or coaches for those 90mins...and what are they going to do with them when the football crowds are not using them.
Its not like 40yrs ago when the Corpy had a vast fleet of buses and they could park up ten or twelve, No. 3s, 19s, 20s 25s, 30s, and 46s etc.for the rush.
Build it and they will come
But how will they go?

Just sayin like.

It probably will need to start at 1:1 to see how the experiment works, it can evolve from there.
I don't see how 1:1 is experimenting. It's literally the same amount of people. No different to fans who stand up now. If they're experimenting with safe standing, it should be at a 1:1.2 ratio or even 1:1.1.

A lot of money has already gone into the infrastructure in that area.

Infrastructure as in roads*, extra train track and stations, bus gyratories, multi storey carparks...or or they've stashed 100 20 seater shuttle buses somewhere infrastructure
*I don't count taking a few tight corners away and the odd bit of road widening - I mean stuff people can travel on, not the road or track those things sit on...where are they...and if they're not here yet, who will provide them...and what will they do with them when there is no game.

The site will be on a bus route. Do you think Stagecoach, Arriva, etc, aren’t going to put routes on to the stadium? It’s a wasteland now, it isn’t worth it, but when there is 52,000 people there every other week there will be a need to have buses and the operators will be more than willing to provide this service.

I get all the above, but still need convincing that they and their ilk have the spare capacity and the financial will to carry this spare capicity during its 9 day out of 10 day downtime.

Though I dare say it will eventually work its self out...eventually

The lads with the rickshaws will sort out getting everyone to the ground and back

There should be a transport plan signed off in the planning docs. LCC have had the docs for 8 weeks and still not put them on the website for some reason.

Haringey planning department took 4 days to put ours online after they were submitted.

Very weird how long it's taking to do this, and it means you're speculating about things you shouldn't be a this point.

Yeah, but they need to prove the obvious first. These trials of 1 standing place per seat are as good as it's going to be at least for the foreseeable. I guess being able to identify people in the stadium is another reason.

If 1:1 is approved, nobody says you can't install narrower seats.;)

....major infrastructure work going on around there, and it’s not exactly in the middle of nowhere. Quick access to the city centre, if there is an issue it’s the motorway system is more difficult to access than exiting the existing city stadia.
