New Everton Stadium

I don't think they will be that much because there would be a massive backlash.
It's an interesting one isn't it, freezing the prices year on year is laudable and good to see the club putting fans first. However it does mean that the club misses out on incremental increases even if that is just with inflation as the value of money reduces.

Over time the prices fall behind competitors and the difference can't be made up as it would be seen as a big rise rather than 2 or 3% a year that would be seen as absolutely fine.

Think there will a lot of different prices around. They have something Lith that club thing at Wembley who.pay a lot of money. One thing I do hope is they keep low prices for under 20s. Now to get these in the ground. One thing I enjoyed about th league cup games this year is the low prices for kids. It was great to see so many young lads going to the match together. Remember early seventies going the game with schoolmates in the enclosure for 15p

I too remember 15 p games in the boys pen and like you hope they have a wide range of prices my query was more our season ticket average price being so low in relation to all the others , getting a new stadium with hugely improved facilities and views surely means us moving to higher average overall and using Newcastle meant a 50% increase , now that may mean lower for kids but that would result in higher prices all over . Never give it too much thought until the article mentioned ticket price surveys

Unfortunate picture placement...

No Suprise they've used our planned stadium as an image. BBC is a kopite stronghold.

I'd be surprised if it was higher than 10% tbh at first at least, creep up be a fiver or so every season after.

The real money will be made in the increased corporate/'vip' seats

I don't think so. If the stadium has been designed in such a way that the average fan can spend money before, after and during the match and the ground is open for a whole host of events 7 days a week, that is where the extra money will come from. I currently spend no money whatsoever in Goodison at the moment I would gladly spend £20/£30 per home game in a new stadium which offered me good facilities and ease of buying a pint and something to eat without having to queue up for ages. That is where the extra money is to be made.

Don't think any football stadium would be able to accommodate not having to queue for ages for a drink and food tbh.

Wonder if all the COVID fallout is going to set things back...not on our end, necessarily.
I've been thinking this, must surely put it back 12 months at least. For several reasons, including having a large amount of builders working together at once isnt or rather shouldn't happen any time soon.
Plus the financial side, no one really knows how thing are going to work out moving forward in terms of what money can be made from football.

I dont see how it doesnt.

Everything will have a timeframe, if we miss the timeframe by a few months, which seems likely at this point, then that would put it back a full season.

I know they are making all that right noises about everything being on track, but this thing will take down the world economy and its kinda putting life in general on hold.

Tbh, even if it starts on schedule, highly unlikely, then common sense tells you, with social distancing, then it will actually take much longer to build, with less builders available.
