New Everton Stadium

I dont see how it doesnt.

Everything will have a timeframe, if we miss the timeframe by a few months, which seems likely at this point, then that would put it back a full season.

I know they are making all that right noises about everything being on track, but this thing will take down the world economy and its kinda putting life in general on hold.

All things considered, it's not that bad...gives us more time at Goodison, which having somewhere to play is a plus anyhow, and more time to get things A+ in all aspects.

Don't think any football stadium would be able to accommodate not having to queue for ages for a drink and food tbh.

That's not the case. The new Wembley as just one example gets it right. Never queued for long for a pint. It's all to do with having enough space, good design, the right kit to serve the beer and contactless payment. Most likely there will be an app for ordering and paying in advance at BMD. Even Wethersooons have that now. Can't see EFC leaving any stone unturned in making sure nobody is put off spending money by standing in a queue for ages.

app's a good idea, i know they can do things like bring food and drink to your seat, but that'd be too American for my liking. As somebody who'd never left his seat in 25 years of watching sport to get a food or drink, i'd fine it a bit annoying for a guy with a hot dog stand to start walking in front of me asking the whole row if they want something every 10 mins.

As cash is usually covered in bacteria, I think the current situation will see a massive uptake in contact free payment going forward!

wouod have been good to have got that built... saying that , this stadium will be better but the cost of KD was about 40m wasn’t it? We would have paid that off pretty quickly as the renevues sky rocketed. This stadium will take us much longer to pay off due to the price and the potential loss of revenues that this virus may cause

Can't remember what the cost was mate, part funded by us and the council. Sure we only needed to find 30m and Kenwright didn't have it (when he said it he had) , Gregg was willing to put it up for a bigger piece of the pie. Something along those lines anyway mate.

yeah remebrr it being a good deal but bill could find the money. I mean who goes down the route of building a stadium knowing they can’t raise even a fraction of the costs?

Yeah, works well with USA sports as there's plenty of breaks in play. Imagine the grief the poor seller would get if there's someone bearing down on goal and they're in the way

Especially with not many drinking establishments near by. I wonder if the norm will be to get in the ground much earlier and drink in the concourses. Could be feasible if there's plenty of space.

Im willing to do my part... if anyone has any cash that they feel may be contaminated PM me and I will be willing to take it off your hands and dispose of it safely
Funny you should say that but I had an e mail from a Nigerian Prince who needs to move some money about, he seems a good chap. PM me your bank details and I'll put you in touch with him. You're welcome.

I don't think funding will be a problem. Moshiri;s mate, Usmanov, hasn't moved into the Liver Buildings to admire the view, he's here to make serious money for his company USM. Taking advantage of the Northern Powerhouse project.

"I was delighted to hear comments from Henri Murison, CEO of Northern Powerhouse Partnership, on the importance of our stadium development - not just for Liverpool City Region but for the economy of the Northern Powerhouse.

"The People’s Project is a once in a generation opportunity that would deliver a £1billion boost to the economy, create up to 15,000 jobs, attract 1.4million new visitors to the City Region and contribute £237million of societal value."

Usmanov will also make a packet from his 50 % holding in Megafon which is providing facial recognition (enhanced at the 2018 Russian World Cup) for Huwaei's 5G network which is being rolled out across the country and will give Megafon a nice little earner.

Providing facial recognition?

Tbh, even if it starts on schedule, highly unlikely, then common sense tells you, with social distancing, then it will actually take much longer to build, with less builders available.

Theres no plans currently to alter the timeframe, nor is there an expectation too based on whats known now. That could of course change.

LFC however, immediately after u-turning on Furlough, have halted every single aspect of work on their Anfield road extension 'until further notice'. Makes me think they arent as flush as they would have you believe.
