New Everton Stadium

Nice one.
If I was the type of person GwladysPhil is trying to make out I am, I would certainly not have been able to have not made one comment about the recent results between our two teams.

Making you out as what? I was just pointing out basic economics,

Levy hasn't given one single thing and nor would I expect him to but he has in the last year or so, for many people squeezed so much that the pips have finally come out.

I know nobody gives money away but people had written that he he gave away millions of pounds worth of free shares to Moshri cos they are friends. It obviously don't happen unless it's a dodgy deal or there's a money earner in it.
Someone had also wrote that in these horrible times, Usmanov had just earned another 3.4 billion pound on top of the billions he already has and some don't like it when non Evertonians question to question things?

Usmanov has been quoted as saying that Moshiri provided him with financial advice and his knowledge of international finance and investment markets allowed Usmanov to secure some massive deals and earn himself many a healthy return. So my guess is the shares were a gift in return for moshiri's advice, confidentiality and yes.. Friendship.

I don't believe there is a single owner of a Premiership who is there for any reason other than making money.

We have seen mention in this thread of a top four, a top five or even a top six . If we look at the worth of these biggest clubs it makes the investment by Moshiri so far in Everton look like pocket change.
Moshiri has shown big ambition, if not always good judgement , if he were to succeed in turning Everton into a regular top four club his investment would grow in multiples.

The world is in difficult times right now,
I have seen several recessions in my life and the one thing I know is the bad times end and are followed by good times, everything is cyclical.
Mind you, I have never seen one caused by a virus.

Yeah, and said something about how the benefits from our stadium are going to put us right up there with the best or something?

Yeah. I looked at his other posts at the time just to see if he’d said anything else, a few times he’d said something along the lines of Everton are going to be right up there competing in a few years. He seemed like a regular on that Wolves forum, would be a bit random for a Wolves fan to just be making stuff up about Everton

Before the virus everybody was mostly guessing.

Truth is, everything is up in the air now. Where they'll land...some may not ever land, gone forever.
Nobody can tell if they do land which way up they will be.

The world and the Football world is in the ultimate wait and see mode...

Come writers and critic, who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide, the chance won’t come again
And don’t speak too soon
For the wheel’s still in spin
And there’s no tellin' who that it’s namin'
For the loser now will be later to win.
For the times they are a-changin'

True then, true now.

My guess work is major backers are acting as guarantors maybe and revealed other future sponsorship or business plans.

Our CFO Ryazantsev said something similar to that's wolves fan a while back "this is much more than a project".

...I honestly think there is more reasons than making money. Ego and profile is a big thing with many of these billionaire owners and nowhere is their profile more highlighted than being at the helm of a successful football club.

Has the club said anything about Dixies wall, like what the plans are. ? The family have a plaque/stone in it.

It looks like its staying where it is, if you scroll down to image 3 in the report on the echo website it shows it here

I guess people will have mixed feelings about that
