Probably not him. But, who harvested the coffee and sugar?
It hasn't been a functioning dock for years under the name Bramley Moore. It's a derelict dock. We've no need to tether our major project to a name that can bring shame. It's not that difficult to underline his connections to the slave trade, so let's just cut his identity out of the picture and forge our own story on that site.
It's just a stone with a name on it. *shrugs*It's the history of the site whether you like it or not, what you going to do chisel out the stone plaque saying Bramley Moore. We can't continue down this route, it's not right.
Bramley MooreIt's just a stone with a name on it. *shrugs*
Did you know Bramley Moore and his history before this, probably not. I just think it's part of our history, it should not be scrubbed, obviously there are differences of opinion. But I understand what you and others are saying. It's just a stone with a name on it. *shrugs*
Where was all this outrage back when all the stadium stuff started? Show me the posts where this was an issue for you before? Didnt see you demanding the name be change then....It's just a stone with a name on it. *shrugs*
Been trying to squeeze Roberto into there somehow, just doesn’t scanLet's play it safe, we need to name it the,
The Jeremy Corbyn, Viva Palestine Stadium.
All ABBA songs to be erased from history too

Yes they were.My point is that everybody in that era either had slaves, sold slaves, used slaves, was a slave or simply ignored the slave trade and allowed it to grow.
Everybody in that era was guilty of something.
Because command at the Royal Navy felt slavery was bad?Yes they were.
The Royal Navy was extremely guilty
Guilty of trying to stop slave ships going across the Atlantic for 60 yrs between 1807 and 1867

I'd reply but we must stay (loosly) more or less on topic and not get sucked in by @davek 's wumming.Because command at the Royal Navy felt slavery was bad?
I had never heard of him till Dave decided to find a new hill to die on. I very very much doubt he had a clue till 5.00pm today neither.
