New Everton Stadium

Location, location, location.

It is bad enough getting car parking or public transport to and from GP without moving to a place that's less accessible.

If the opportunity arises we must move to a city centre location to enhance our profile

I think if WHP is it they will definitely and naturally sort those problems in good co-operation with LCC

Your personal opinion on what will happen stadia wise ?

Just my personal opinion, I have no insight into what the club/council's thinking is, but I think WHP would be a last resort solution as it's not ideal for the club, fans and the council will face serious objections from local residents plus it flies in the face of their green spaces policy.

So that leaves either a redeveloped Goodison or a yet to be identified site. Redeveloped Goodison would be fantastic but I fear the logistical challenges are too great and a lack of council support.

It would be fantastic if the club could do a deal with Peel for a dockside stadium. That's certainly the boldest (and probably most expensive) option - it would certainly be a huge statement of intent and ambition if it became our preferred option.

Jesus, imagine how awesome a dockside stadium would be?!

Robert Earl has sold his shares mate. He no longer has any association with the club.

I know he has sold his shares but I don't necessarily think for certain that that is the end of any future involvement..

He is into his restaurants/food and tv and now has a massive return to invest again, without being on the board. Just some sexy speculation on my part!

But apart from his shares and once bringing Stallone over he has never had any involvement, so why would he start getting involved after selling his shares?

Friend of a friend etc, but was told yesterday that WHP probably off the table now, but we are planning talks with the council about a development in Stonebridge Cross

Take that with as much salt as you like

Not a chance mate, he's taken his profit and run

Someone a few pages back said that peel holdings have form for holding on to prime land until they got what they wanted planning wise, But how long will LCC allow that to happen, indefinitely ? surely there comes a time when LCC say enough is enough and say "leaving that land derelict is not good enough get it sorted" or words to that effect. In other words they can't let prime land in a prime location remain derelict for ever surely they have the power to do something about it especially if they think it has a detrimental effect on the image of the city.

Is WHP project pretty much buried then?
