Joe getting arrested is a serious problem for us. Will this stadium even happen now because of this? I have my doubts.
If the arrest is in relation to the new stadium then it’s obviously an issue. However, until that official link is made I’m not sure why there’s such despair right now. Some strong assumptions being made by largely unqualified folks.

Probes into things like this take longer than the time that's passed since we submitted planning.. didn't FC big stand get planning for their new big stand? If it's football related then it will be that. I guess if he was in the dark about any probe then he may have taken a bribe for BMD too.. less likely than him trying to make a quick buck off the RS.
If it's about planning permission how could it be about us ? We've been waiting for God knows how long, if anything it's to why PP hasn't been given yet.

The council will have input into the infrastructure around the stadium.
As far as I know, Liverpool’s new proposed stand that’s come out this week initially had plans that expired and were renewed - or may have come very close to expiring. Not entirely sure. Anyway, all stands / stadia require planning permission which is usually a very straightforward process. It’s a bit of a cliche that such things are the subject of underhand bribes in brown envelopes.

Had we continued down the route of seeking council funding to finance the stadium I would be very, very worried.
Thankfully that idea appears to have been ditched, with all recent reports suggesting that private funding will be used.
I am 100% sure that these arrests have nothing at all to do with planning permission for Bramley Moore. Nothing EFC related to see here.

There has been a long-running investigation in to Fractional Property schemes in Liverpool. In which investors have paid upfront, the developments have been started but not completed. Last December a property developer and a council official were arrested.
This illustrates the kind of thing that has been happening in the City.

It's nothing to do with our ground it's to do with public money being given to certain developers within the city a few years back to build certain things on behalf of the council but nothing actually got built. More will come to light next week.
