New Everton Stadium

The club must update the fans if they know this project has been hit with yet more delays.

This club needs to come out and answer the following

  • what's the delay on the PA?
  • whats's the new schedule given delays?
They know they have a duty to keep the fans informed. It's not good enough.

Chillax - I don't think we've gone to LCC and said please take your time on this. Especially when we submitted another smaller one to try and get on with prep ASAP. Until they come back with a yes and yet we still don't start then the delay isn't anything to do with the club.

Amendment or not, work was envisage by the club to start early 2021. That looks fanciful. Even after a full planning committee meeting (unscheduled as we speak) there will then be more public consultations on what's agreed on. With a fair wind behind us we're still looking at end of winter / beginning of spring to be on site. Not that we'd know any of that because the club have gone onto radio silence again.

December 2019 the PA went in. Spurs went from PA to PP in 11 months - including a major planning rethink and amendments.

The club need to continue to take people with them. Their silence doesn't achieve that...and they must realise that with Joe-gate having erupted fans will be anxiously waiting for communication.

What's your take on the Esk's finance report, he obviously knows more than most of us, your thoughts x.

Had spurs any unexpected little bumps in the road to contend with
Something small and irritating like a world wide pandemic that killed hundreds of thousands and locked down nations including Britain for weeks on end
We can’t set fire to our problems like it is suggested Spurs did

I disagree - I think that is precisely what's happening at the moment. It suits the club to delay until we have a clear route out of Covid. Club wont be quite a direct as you mention, but I would suspect that's what is happening through some of the back channels. LCC dont want to come out with a big announcement until they have clear time-lines and likewise the club. Covid is simply to big a variable unfortunately

Did Spurs have a worldwide pandemic to deal with at the time?
