Couldn’t care less about losing UNESCO status and to be honest wasn’t aware the city had it until all our new ground talk came along. Given that UNESCO last visited here 10 years ago, along with stripping Liverpool off the tittle at meeting in Asia, were they really bothered about our city anyway?

To be fair, the arena, the museum and the office/apartment blocks behind the riverfront are the real reason and it has nothing to do with redevelopment of a derelict dock a few miles up the river. Dresden - still a popular and stunning city to visit - lost it because of a bridge over the river.
