New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium


It's definitely a very minor element of bringing tourists here. Only worrying thing is that losing that status would allow some real eyesores to be put up on the waterfront
 
Yeah, it's not even about Everton. It's about the city having control of their own area. Why should Liverpool as a city have to answer to anyone other than themselves and the government of its country?

Know what you mean, however, not entirely sure what UNESCO opens us up too, as in knowledge and revenues... It's obviously a deal how big a deal we shall find out.
 


It was the city centre including the docks. Bmd was only in the buffer zone so they're being pedantic. Venice might lose it too over cruise ships.
To be fair, the arena, the museum and the office/apartment blocks behind the riverfront are the real reason and it has nothing to do with redevelopment of a derelict dock a few miles up the river. Dresden - still a popular and stunning city to visit - lost it because of a bridge over the river.
