It's amazing me how wide it looks from East to west for the stand corners when the stand corners north to south, ie the length of the pitch look a lot closer together. Maybe it's not the stand corners ' seeing but the concourse etc.?

The size of the cranes and other construction equipment is just mind boggling.Very good. Enjoy seeing this now. Keep up the good work. Nil Satis Nisi Optimum.
Im the opposite these days - footballs corrupt and scripted to the core nowadays.
I've pretty much accepted we'll never win the league again and come 2024 Liverpool/Man Utd will qualify for the CL even if they finish 15th.
The joy for me is the actual matchday experience up until 3pm.
Love Goodison but its not fit for purpose any longer - get my arse into one of these fine premium seats with a hotdog and cheeky pornstar martini.
Watching the Palace v Arsenal game last night just re-inforces to me that having 60k as opposed to 53k is a secondary issue.
What we need is a stadium with atmosphere. Loud, raucous, intimidating. One where the fans actually have decent chants/songs that they know the words to and belt out at the top of their voices. Selhurst Park seems to have the best atmosphere in the league and that's an absolute dump with a capacity of, what, <30,000? It's because their fans decided to make it into the best atmosphere.
Look at Fenerbahce or Galatasaray. Modern stadiums with similar or smaller capacity than BMD. Incredible venues.
It's not the number of seats we should be focussed on. It's how do we, as a fanbase, turn BMD into an iconic stadium with a world-beating atmosphere?
'It's a Grand Old Team' should be left at Goodison.
A rattle and a cup of Bovril is all we need my son.I’d much rather we didn’t try and instigate a manufactured atmosphere at Goodison because some watch Serie A and just let Evertonians do their organic thing.
God bless you Mr TW.A rattle and a cup of Bovril is all we need my son.
God bless.
Used to be a Turkish lad who used to come into work. Big Galatasary fan he often told us their ground was the biggest in the world, hed argue with your numbers though - he said it seated 100 million and was always full. LolLook at Fenerbahce or Galatasaray. Modern stadiums with similar or smaller capacity than BMD. Incredible venues.

Palace have done a good job of manufacturing the best atmosphere in the Premier League over the past two or three years. We aren’t talking about creating a boy band or playing music after goals here.I’d much rather we didn’t try and instigate a manufactured atmosphere at Goodison because some watch Serie A and just let Evertonians do their organic thing.
Don't need to lecture us about singing lad, we were formed from a lads choir lad.God bless you Mr TW.
We are talking about trying to turn Evertonians into jarg ultras though mate, which they’re resisted countless times before.Palace have done a good job of manufacturing the best atmosphere in the Premier League over the past two or three years. We are talking about atmosphere. When Goodison has it, it is rocking. Unfortunately the atmosphere is often rubbish. We are talking about trying to turn Evertonians into jarg ultras though mate, which they’re resisted countless times before.
Whilst also trying to turn them in to next years Eurovision Song contest finalists. We are talking about trying to turn Evertonians into jarg ultras though mate, which they’re resisted countless times before.
