Why do you say this?
Concreting work seems to have progressed well. A significant proportion of the structural steel work is already installed on site.
DFMA techniques are meaning a lot of PCC members are being fabricated off site. The terracing is going on quickly.
The brickwork is also being assembled off site.
I see no evidence of issues.
I don't see any evidence on site as yet, but as you say, lots of material is being produced off site and being assembled in a modular fashion.
Perhaps it is problems with the supply chain for those companies to produce their items that may cause the delay?
There's no smoke without fire, a poster here said several weeks ago they'd be delays. (from somebody on the project)
A good mate of mine who sits In directors box told me there was talk of delays after Chelsea game (not due to funding).
Now we have noggsy sharing what he was told on site yesterday.
Take those three seperate sources and also factor in that projects of this scale are nearly always late, it's probably right.
I cannot understand why Peel are doing this?
It seems a lot of prime land to give up?
It does, I can only think that by sprucing up a large chunk of land it makes development plots around that area an easier sell/more valuable. It doesn't mean they can't encroach onto that area later. It's their land after all.
They only gave us our plot to block off the view of the water treatment works.
