Peel can make much more money, something they like, out of a football stadium then they ever will from a pipe dream of tower blocks that wont be done in most peoples life time. They have to think outside of football. Nobody is taking the bait in that Liverpool Waters stuff, but there will be people willing to put money into this stadium and things around it, such as the transport links, ferry terminal perhaps which the area will need...etc Also if that Comonwealth games thing is serious are we really going to build two stadiums in the area, one of which will just be pulled down again afterwards?

Peel have been able to do something with the area for 4yrs and haven't touched it. Confident that if Everton are serious about wanting that area for the Stadium and everything else that Peel would sell.

Unless the Council want to put a big chunk of money into it, they have no right in saying what it looks like IMO.

If we are fronting the majority of the cost its built how we want it, and that will be without a running track.
