Old Trafford is falling apart and the hospitality is needing major refurbishment.

In the article it mentions a lot of cities are reluctant due to having to use their own money for facilities / transport etc.

One is the requirement for a match day fan zone, which BMD will already have a huge one of on its door step.

Would be a great endorsement of the stadium and indeed the club as a whole if it was chosen.

It needs a level of broad international recognition that this would give.

Hopefully in a few years we also will be able to qualify for Europe again, and have those nights also.

Yes they are. It's supposed to cost £100m and take capacity over 50K. And for it to be done in time for Euro 2028.

Although we might not get something like that at BMD. I'll be amazed if we don't get something like it nearby. Might not be owned by the club but the scope to do stuff next door to BMD is almost limitless given the number of vacant and under occupied buildings and the number of brownfield sites within a mile. That is why (amongst other reasons) it was totally the correct decision to to move to BMD and not waste our money on doing up GP despite what some people are still droning on about.

Little scope around County Road to do these kinds of things. It ain't just about the stadium. Can't wait to move to BMD.
