Here we go peeps.....
I'm the other way. I love seeing the build unfold, and seeing the progress week after week.I wish I could go back in time and not even see the plans for the stadium, nevermind watching weekly updates from drones and pictures. Imagine how good it would have been just turning up to watch a game, not even seeing a single image of it or knowing anything about it. Would have been like the first time any of us stepped foot in Goodison, that magic.
There was a period of 'piling' I think it was called about this time last year. After the sand was compacted, I think they they made holes, inserted the metal rods and filled with concrete. Hundreds of them, possibly something in excess of 1K. The first time I went for a mooch was on a Saturday before a home game ** and that sort of work was going on. Couldn't see much, just the monotonous clunking noises. One thing that I cant remember in this build, from making a sandpit to today, is foundations being sunk. Like I cant recall days of pylons being hammered into the ground, for example. Maybe no one filmed it, cos it would have been a pretty tedious watch, lets face it.

Yeah, it did happen. Wasn't that exciting. Not an awful lot to see.
Why on earth should Everton fund it?A few pages ago we were talking about Sandhills Station . I found this on the stadium website. Seems to suggest that EFC will fund the upgrade.
<< In readiness for an increase in numbers, the Club is set to upgrade facilities at nearby Sandhills train station, following a fan survey held back in 2018 which suggested that 60% of fans wanted to use public transport. >>
Why on earth should Everton fund it?
Can you imagine FSG digging into their piggy bank to fund a railway station when their club stadium had generated billions for the local economy?
Let the scab council ask their Tory masters to fund that.
No the club shouldn't be paying but MickA has suggested above there will be no upgrade apart from corralling - and he's probably right. Hard to see what substantial upgrade there could be on an island platform . Perhaps a matchday pop-up ticket office at street level to avoid queueing on the platforms ?Why on earth should Everton fund it?

Yes, it'll surely have to do with safety. The volume of people moving through Sandhills on matchday plus usual commuters will be massively increased. No the club shouldn't be paying but MickA has suggested above there will be no upgrade apart from corralling - and he's probably right. Too shorter video to judge.Looks like they binned the "leicht" criss-crosses on the roof trusses in the end (unless it's the concealed ones at the back).
Good. Stupid backward-looking nonsense in any case.Looks like they binned the "leicht" criss-crosses on the roof trusses in the end (unless it's the concealed ones at the back).
