Still can't get my head around that image.
Gonna be heartbroken when Goodison goes. ?

…its an interesting discussion & a subject undoubtedly covered in the stadium business case (I recall much being made of the stadium usage for the community outside matchdays) but we are talking about one or two games per fortnight & for only a part of the year.

Some pubs in Walton have struggled despite Goodison being on their doorstep.
There were studies conducted on the uplift in the Walton economy a few years back and it was substantial. I'd expect Everton Stadium in Vauxhall to - over time - have a similar impact.

Poor old Scotland Road.

As Bishop Williams says, the old place might be resurrected yet by our new ground.

Possibly. Anybody looking to get a bus in from the northern end of the city and beyond, will be looking at getting off at Scotty, unless they want to wait for, or are able to catch, the one bus that goes a bit closer through Vauxhall/Eldonian. And of course, there will be the locals already within walking distance.

It's Great Howard Street, Regent Rd and the Ten Streets area that will truly see the benefits. There's still a lot of work to be done around that area, but by god does it have potential...

I don't see it as "woke" it's more deciding on whether to continue keeping the name alive. For instance, statues are built of ex players, to celebrate their history with the club and keep their name/status alive.

I don't know anyone who has an attachment to "Bramley Moore" so why would it be a problem renaming it to something that isn't tarnished? Not everything is woke. Sometimes, it's just nice to be able to not continue with things that were decided when the world was very different.
if you do away with history you cant change the future, in 100 years time people wont believe there were slaves as all statues have been pulled down, its as if people are ignoring it

Have you tried CBD oil for the chronic back pain?

Got a mate who swears by it for his back troubles.
He's had several slipped discs over the years and struggled to stand up straight prior to him using it. Like a new man.
Sorry for off topic ;- You must be a mind reader Tommye, was actually talking about this last night with my wife. I have actually also got slipped discs (2 of them), I was supposed to have an operation on the 20th Oct in the Nuffield in Chester but it was cancelled short notice. Now booked in for the 17th November , will see if the operation helps before trying anything else.
