I wonder if the reduction in the South Stand and therefore the freeing up of horizontal space has made way for more rows to be added to the North Stand?I think they'll be even lower than that as well mate. They're both lower than the North/South Stands but I think there's still a fair few rows to be added.
Also @Dr Baxter here are the total rows for all stands
North Stand Upper 16
North Stand Lower 30
East Stand Lower 30
East Stand Upper 30
West Stand Lower 30
West Stand Upper 30
South Stand Lower section (rail seating) 27
South Stand Upper section (seating) 33

mate, so sorry was no on over the weekend. But great work on estimating the seats for each stand!.Don't think so mate as Nirth stand lower is 30 rows, same as the East and West Lower. The Upper is 16 rows and that's due to no more space and the glass window.
Just watching that video mate and I reckon there's still another 8-10 rows worth of concrete to be put on that East Stand. Also on the South Stand where the space divider is (which will separate the rail seating lower from normal seating upper) only 1 row of the lower section has been done, so there's still another 26 rows of concrete to be added. It's gonna look waaaaaaaaaaaay bigger than what we currently see.
You're gonna need a dark room soon mate, lol.Just watching that video mate and I reckon there's still another 8-10 rows worth of concrete to be put on that East Stand. I'm sure they will try and raze it to the ground, even if it is using candles, utter melts...Anfield will not be able to hold a candle to it when completed.
That's true - never thought of that but you could do that at Wembley when I went to a gig there, we walked about halfway round the lower tier to find quieter bar queues. Hopefully having better beer and food alongside smaller queues will also encourage people to spend more time in there. Also having some proper toilets not a sweat box with a trough in it will make it all more appealing tooI wonder if we'll be able to move around within the concourse during ht/before the game. Be nice to go in, get a drink with people in other parts of the ground. This is possible in some places as long as you're on the same level (away section aside)
This could be a big earner for the club as people will go in the ground earlier and spend more
The reduction of 6 to 8 rows could be around 1500, reducing the capacity to just over 50k, we would have heard something if they were to reduced to that amount so I wonder where they reallocated those 1500 seats?Don't think so mate as Nirth stand lower is 30 rows, same as the East and West Lower. It's freaking awesome though.
Now, can you just confirm pitch will fit and the wind turbines are safe, then your work here is done... oh and the wall...... mustn't forget the wall....???
Just catching up on this thread so apologies if this has already been covered or linked. In terms of the roof, other than the removal of the slight incline from North to South, I understand the roof design remains the same as the original planning submission. You can read the detail in Part 4 of the Design & Access Statement but as I can't work out how to link from my phone I've taken some screen shots. Hope you can read the detail on the attached pics. The biggest unknown for me, that I find myself very curious about, is what the roof cladding is going to look like.
I mean, I see the renders - but it's still very unclear to me what the roof is made of.
It seems slightly translucent, so it's either perforated aluminium - or it's glass or perspex - or some combination of those?

I tried to have a look in the planning docs to get a sense of this, but holy cow there are so many of them I don't know where to start.
