New Everton Stadium

I am no builder, but where would concrete be needed now? The brickwork is off site, panel things, same with the terraces being pre cast, off site. Pretty much all the ground works would be done ages ago.
Each floor level needs a concrete pour as the stadium rises. Also theres the exposed concrete roof sections at South End and the 2nd floor concourse at North End for starters. Loads of concrete pouring needed on west stand plaza and waterway area.

The smell is actually from the molasses plant 100 yds up the road.

Been there y'all know how many times and there's not once I've smelt anything from the place next door
Cargills down the road too.

I didn't know the Molasses place was still there! Always rememeber seeing the silo just past Sandhills on the train and thinking it was a very niche thing they did.

They pour concrete over panels mainly roof ones once installed, apparently all concrete infrastructure has been cast and awaiting to be installed. Suspect with cold weather some work will be delayed but check out the weather next week, almost tropical ?

They are still pouring concrete in the East and West stands. The floors are composite construction. There is a lot of steel reinforcement bars being placed and concreted in situ.

Some stone throw that. BMD is 2 mile/11 mins in a cab from lime street and 2.4m/13 mins to Anfield.
And its next to a sewage treatment plant that can stink from time to time.
Let's not overegg it just yet lads.
The stadium itself will be great to a point - the location is still up for debate imo.
If you’re a tourist in the city you do not walk to anfield you would walk to bmd, it’s nature

Crazy comment. The ferry terminal is about a 10 minute walk.
We will get tourist fans and Everton need to make the most of this. Can’t just shut up shop when a match day isn’t on. When the ships come in the stadium and shops etc need to be open for business.

The location is fantastic. I don’t get anyone questioning it. If you really want to come, you get the train from lime street to central
And then get off at Moorfields and take the 10 minute walk down. In the summer it will be fantastic.

Who cares about the smell when your necking a pint and sniffing the stale ciggy/vape smell.
