New Everton Stadium

Needs to be a non football-related team doing it. No match? Right, sell these on days x y and z of the week. Sell that its with a pitch view or whatever, but should be 100% focused on being regular business people who have a proven history of it.

It should be an easy sell. Get all sorts of conventions that will want to pitch up.
something that is obvious as the build goes up is how much floor space there is compared to Goodison, the east and west stands are both bigger that the goodish man stand, with more still at each goal end. There should be plenty of rooms for money earners such as conference rooms etc for non match days

Can someone shed some light now what is our current match day revenue and what will be the tentative match day revenue . i just wanna get an idea of what is the approximate jump in revenues, coz u know money matters lol
All depends on how much they increase price for season tickets etc.

For years we have had bang average football for bang average prices, now we have a price hike for next season and the way we are playing could be in the championship!!

Presume the rise is to take in to account more games in the championship?

Evertons planning application was designed to be successful. Had they pushed for something more who's to say it would have been granted ? And then, you would have been proved right and the stadium would not have happened ! And that doesn't bare thinking about ?
A PA that promised to regenerate the whole swathes of the north end with massive political support.

No chance it'd have been rejected.

The club were too hasty in caving in to third parties. Certainly UU should have been dictated to by all concerned.

You were adamant it was going to be 'called in' for a decision to be made by the Secretary of State.

I was under the impression that EFC had engaged an outside specialist company for this purpose. I think their first gig will be to sort out the posh seats. I'm curious to know how good or otherwise the facilities will be for the normal fan. If there is no real ale I'll be livid. Hope they are reading this. ?
I may be mistaken, but I think they were brought in to help sell Everton Corporate packages, not Everton Stadium (non-matchday) hospitality/conferencing facilities.

If they have been given free reign then that's great. (provided of course our revered board didn't sign a stupid deal with them that means they keep the bulk of the revenue. Would anyone be surprised?)

You're right, it should be an easy sell. Let's hope it proves to be that way. ;)

If the club still have aspirations of opening for the start of the 24/25 season isn't it a bit weird that they're not making a big thing of Goodisons final swan song in the season ticket renewal marketing

Not too sure what they should be doing. We're already selling out the maximum number of season tickets. I'm sure there'll be some kind of of reference to the last ever season at GP by way of a souvenir on the season ticket pack that's sent next summer.

Haven't you tried this angle before?

Think there's only the river left to shout at now and you've done the lot.

It's a valid critique Tommy.

When you have midden (literally) next door determinging whether a multi-million pound football club and a global 'brand' can have a stadium that maximised its opportunity to build a state of the art stadium then this is a case of the tail wagging the dog.

You were adamant it was going to be 'called in' for a decision to be made by the Secretary of State.
Yes, based on original plans. It would have been. Then it'd have been about the club arguing their case against Historic England / UNESCO with a government that would ideologically never have stood in the way of regeneration and the private sector getting its snout in the trough.

Basically the stadium could have been very different if EFC would have stood their ground. I think we all know that in retrospect.

If LFC had secured that land there would be a very different design and build at that dock.
