Wow.I'll see if I can find the plans again Dave. The last one I seen was the boundary line right up against the stand.
Edit : Yes I've just checked Dave (and they are the new plans as that new step section on the West Stand is on them) and the boundary like is right up against the North stand.
Wow.
What's that then, about a 5 metre wide walkway under that North Stand?
I'd have thought that enough space for an access road around all the stadium would have been required.
In between the brick facade and that black post (with a white base) to the left of it, that's where vehicles can travel through
This doesn’t make sense to me. In the photo you can see the existing boundary. Tgerdd Ed is the UU Road, then the boundary, then the EFC road, then the edge of the stadium. It is not right up against the boundary.I'll see if I can find the plans again Dave. The last one I seen was the boundary line right up against the stand.

This is from the Design and Access statement. Am I reading this right? It looks to me that entrance in and out of that north stand will be at either end of the North Stand with no access points across the length of that stand as per the South Stand.

Will that lead to bottle necks at the West Stand-North Stand corner of the site?

it is obviously needed as a 'three lane highway' or they wouldn't have spent the money and time building it, and I'm not sure what clout Peel will have once it is leased, people or organisations don't take it too lightly when they lease something but the owner/leaser keeps telling them what to do with it. Not sure that is how leasing works. The point I'm making is that the UU road is not exactly as busy as a three lane highway. Yes it's a private road, but it's Peel who are leasing all the land there so they surley have clout to make things happen.
I’m just looking at the aerial photographs. The service road runs behind the stand, then there is the boundary fence with the UU land, then the UU service road.Sorry mate I don't quite follow you. The image I posted, the red boundary line literally runs along the same line as the North Stand?
Let me know if I've completely misunderstood your post though mate. I'm only going by the pic I posted and something someone mentioned about us borrowing land off UU whilst the stadium gets built which I remember reading about a while ago.
Any idea what length of time the 'long tem lease' is?it is obviously needed as a 'three lane highway' or they wouldn't have spent the money and time building it, and I'm not sure what clout Peel will have once it is leased, people or organisations don't take it too lightly when they lease something but the owner/leaser keeps telling them what to do with it. They'd have to have good relations if they wanted to stay there, presumably?
@Bluestar You see where that blue, red and yellow cherry pickers are, thats not our land, thats owned by UU. Where that brick Facade is (which will have the Leitch criss cross pattern, just to the left of that is a black post with a white base. In between that post and the brick facade is where the access road will be (once UU take their land back they've borrowed)
That was my understanding anyway mate, I might be wrong though as its been known 79% of the time
