Going to obliterate that view of the Wirral though, I expect some locals will be upset, I probably would be. Gives an idea of the scale of the finished building, which I found difficult to gauge at the site gates.

You'd be especially upset if you were a diehard Red, like. You didn't ask for a stadium to be built there and now it's staring you in the face every day until you ultimately up sticks and leave as you can stand the sight of it no longer. Wouldn't change it for the world me though.

It’s already part of the commentary on the Mersey ferry tour. Need to get some Everton crests on those boats, keep up our expansion of the waterfront. I’m sure the club could contribute to some operating costs of the ferries in exchange for some special match day services.

It's not only part of the commentary, it's also at the apex of the trip, too. You go up as far as the stadium, then turn around. Perfect, really.

Same! Took the kids on their first ferry trip after having such strong memories of my first trip in the 80s.

took a walk out there myself just now for first time as over for match. some impressive red brick buildings out there. one in particular, is f in huge.

The Tobacco Warehouse is, I believe, the largest brick building in the world.

It's certainly the largest brick warehouse in the world, anyway.

I love how the club are clearly worried about fans freaking out as the external build slows so that focus can be switched to the interior fit-out.

Every chance they get they are warning us progress will visually slow down.
