New Everton Stadium

What’s really annoying is someone moaning about something that has no effect on their experience but matters a great deal to others.

To hedge our bets we should ask for volunteers of every known faith to come down and pray during the game, and then just have one angry dar at the back of the faith room, boooooing them, so they get the full Everton Experience.

This is really annoying...if u need to pray to your god during a game....don't go to the game if its that important 🙏 religion to you.

There are so many things to be annoyed at with this club and the way it is ran. Trying to accommodate and provide facilities for faith and religion isn't one of them.

Glad we have included it in the plans.

If a room annoys you, I fear for your blood pressure.
Perhaps just avert your eyes , take deep breaths and go to your happy place should you inadvertently walk past this room at some point in the future.
Or direct your annoyance at things that deserve it like working people having to use food banks for instance or energy companies making vast profits out of misery and war.

Reckon the term 'multi faith' rattles the cages of the Brexit crew.
Can't be having people praying and whatnot.
Whatever next?

I believe the stadium will be staffed all the time, ie those currently housed in the Liver Building will be based there too. A multi faith room may be more for those staff than fan use during a match.
That’s a good point. Also different religions have different pray times, with kick off times being all over the place I agree this is something that makes sense. I’ve stated a few times me and brother are mixed race and my dad is black, we are all Church of England and don’t go to church, so doesn’t matter to us. But in my 15 years going the game I’ve noticed a lot more different ethnic people attending the match. This is only beneficial to our club.

Unlikely …1 person 1 seat still…

no more seats than for all seater as they take the same width/pitch

Not entirely true. Standing actually takes up more width than a seat, so a straight conversion of seats to standing will lead to a ratio of 0.9-1 (9 standing for every 10 seats.

Everton have however designed it so that there can be an 'increase' by up to 1.8/1 (nearly double the capacity within standing areas)

The only thing restricting our standing areas being increased capacity is current regulatory laws, that may change on evidence.

Where do you get these figures from? I'd like to think they are accurate but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of facts when it comes to safe standing as a way of expanding the capacity.
