There are no guarantees that ratios over 1:1 will ever be allowed. Colin Chong didn't think it would happen when asked last year. I think there have been a few studies of the safe-standing experiment. Maybe he has been privy to them and isn't confident of a change in legislation. However, even if 1.5 ratio is accepted.... i think there are only 6k safestanding spaces planned for the south stand and 1-1.5k for the away fans section. So, the uplift would only be approx 3.7k. Allocating more safestanding elsewhere will be dependent on concourse space available for that section and ofcourse how many seats they're prepared to sacrifice.

Should have been over 60,000 to start with. I'm sure they can manipulate upwards from 52,888. Just observing the construction how great would it be if they just added another tier on the west stand.
