I remembered reading about the stadium when it was getting built and friends have since told me bits about the transport etc. As with the Perth example, the key for BMD is good public transport, getting people to and from the city centre, to shift the bulk of the fans most efficiently and not gridlock the roads with cars. The main roads around the stadium will be closed off during matchday. While this doesn't solve the issue beyond the dock road and pushes it further into town in some cases, it means that 'shuttle buses' to town centre may run much smoother for at least some of the journey. Would be good to just have a procession through to James Street or the front to allow people to disperse though town. Surely the Police could manage a 'green light' through for 20/30 buses or however many can be available.

Lots of work to do.
 

Think I read somewhere when Peel develop the area South of BMD there will be a walking route through to town. Not sure the residents will like that !

You'd think they would!...he did say it was good leading up to that point, so probably crept up faster than expected.

I wasn't even going to post it but that zoom shot of the south stand was something we don't see in these things. Hopefully when he goes back we'll get some really good shots with that new drone.
