I do not want to move mid-season, but wants and what usually happens is two separate things. Fair play to the club if they finish the stadium and we don't move for x amount of months.

It would certainly be a bit weird wouldn't it? I have no idea when we'll move but doing it mid season would seem strange for lots of reasons. It would be nice to know exactly when the last game at Goodison was going to be, rather than for us just to find out a couple of weeks before that there was only going to be one more game.

How would season tickets work? Would you have to buy a half season ticket for each stadium?
There's a difference between getting the keys for the stadium and having everything operationally sound
People will need to move into offices, staff will need to be trained up on new systems, stewards knowing all the exits/safety stuff etc, and that's before we consider moving 33k season ticket holders

More than one. I went to the very first match at the Millenium Stadium, and the capacity was 30,000. And it still needed tons of finishing work done.
Let's say we are given the keys in August. Do you honestly believe we would play a whole season at GP before moving the following one? A whole 12 months with a brand new stadium sitting there NOT earning money just because it might be a bit of a headache sorting out season tickets and staff needing to know what the layout of the building is. Seriously?
I don't think anyone thinks moving mid season is preferable. It's certainly unusual.
But the prospect of having a big shiny stadium sat doing nothing for 8 months feels weird and wasteful, too.
It doesn’t have to be sat doing nothing. We could have loads of test events there in the meantime.
