Fair enough, I have no idea why anybody would want to stay in Goodison for longer than absolutely necessary but each to his own, I guess.I have no idea why people seemingly want to move stadium mid-season.

Why would it be a nothing fixture if it was the last game at Goodison. Sorry, don't follow.I completely understand why people wouldn’t want to say goodbye to Goodison Park in a nothing fixture against Wolves in December.

Did you stamp your feet as you typed that?We are not moving mid-season.
It would certainly be a bit weird wouldn't it? I have no idea when we'll move but doing it mid season would seem strange for lots of reasons. It would be nice to know exactly when the last game at Goodison was going to be, rather than for us just to find out a couple of weeks before that there was only going to be one more game. Why would it be a nothing fixture if it was the last game at Goodison. I just can't see why Moshiri (the bloke who is paying for the new stadium) would want to delay the move even by one day. Just doesn't make sense.
There's a difference between getting the keys for the stadium and having everything operationally sound
People will need to move into offices, staff will need to be trained up on new systems, stewards knowing all the exits/safety stuff etc, and that's before we consider moving 33k season ticket holders
dont they have some sort of test fixture for new stadiums too?

I don't think anyone thinks moving mid season is preferable. It's certainly unusual.I have no idea why people seemingly want to move stadium mid-season.

But the prospect of having a big shiny stadium sat doing nothing for 8 months feels weird and wasteful, too.
