New Everton Stadium

The choice of staying or moving mid season, to me let's get gone and moved.
Yes Goodison has been great in the past but so as my ford escort, when there is a new Mercedes waiting for me let's use it

It seems to have become a bit of a contentious issue on some forums. I always assumed that we'd just move in at the first opportunity regardless. Some arguing that it might feel like an away ground for us to start with.... and if we're still fighting relegation, would that be an issue.... etc?

Apparently Radio merseyside is covering it tonight. 18:20 ish. I think one of this parish may also be speaking on it.

I’m sure the Gallowgate has room to expand behind it.

It is and the club have just re-acquired the land too.

Trevor Skempton was the city architect there years ago and did a study to show how the small side could be expanded slightly to form an atrium over the Leazes terrace. With their limitless wealth, maybe that will be revisited too.

Thats the first time I've seen a pic and thought "yeah, thats starting to look like the renders we've seen".

Great pic ;)

For me it was the recent video from Everton that matched an early video before the build even started where it showed the stadium behind the dockers clock. It was one of the first amazing visuals taking in the surroundings that I first thought this is going to be alright you know.

That's my favourite CGI video of the ground. I've only ever seen that 20 second clip though. I'm quite sure they would have done a longer version but no idea why it hasn't been released.

All that work done and it's still not ready for the 24/25 season...Everton that. :hayee:

I'm not sure there is, although you would have thought the model used would have allowed a complete 360 of the site.

He might as well start living there, he's been there every day this week lol

He is trying to get one of the West stand roof lifts so he said he'll be there every day.

Anyone know if the underside of the roof is also clad or is all the steel exposed from below? I assumed the latter but thinking about Meis comments about how close the roof is I’m not so sure now. An open roof must be 15m+ (guessing) until the top cladding to ‘contain’ the sound, if it’s clad on the underside too it would be much closer I’d assume.
