New Everton Stadium

Was at the new site this week.

Maybe stupid and I'm not completely au fait with the area but am I optimistic in thinking theirs going to be a few pubs, eateries etc open up on the streets around it.

Some of the streets remind me of Ancoats or Northern Quarter in Manchester and it would be great to have a bevvy prior to entering the stadium area or on way back to city.

Ps Jurgens bar is going to get destroyed by blues on a regular basis isn't it. 😂

Right facing the stadium.

Does anybody know what the final look of the brickwork/grills/windows is? For example, take a look at the south-west corner specifically the bit facing back towards the city centre. Is that the final look? I can't tell if the glass is frosted or if the panes are covered with a proactive film. Elsewhere (for example on the West Stand) the panels just seem to be plain black. Will they stay like that or will they too take on the same look as those I mention in the south-west corner? Thanks.

Our model appeared to be..... the owner is loaded, and his mate is even more loaded with lots of cash to wash, so don't worry!

It's true. But then...

We have had cautious Everton, cautious Robert Elstone, and (forgive me for any Meis lovers) the architect that didn't get the need for a larger
stadium that is in comparison with our peers (size envy he called it) and while everyone were talking about 61878 cautious Everton choose a
capacity that was almost 10,000 fewer seats.

I suppose there's potential to expand, and from that point of view the club being cautious could be compared to how City's stadium has grew
or the RS's has grew, along side success on the pitch. Lest we forget financial stability (which isn't the case with us in recent years). The cautious approach
could almost be deemed "sensible". I don't agree with that myself we should have gone 60,000 plus from the off. It is what it is.
