My lad works on site. Apparently been an accident and the operator of a scissor lift has died on his way to hospital. Site likely to close pending investigation.

Is that what that was; about an hour ago I seen an emergency helicopter land somewhere in the area of the ground

Ah, that's really sad. Thoughts with family, friends and colleagues. There are so many people working in such a massive, busy site that there's always the risk of something awful happening - but that doesn't make it any less tragic.

That's incredible. They hold how many stood and seated in 8 car configuration? Thanks.

Hard to get info. 182 seats per 4-car set, but they're slated to offer 50% more capacity than the 507/508 they replace. They originally had 234 seats, but after various refurbishments are now down to 192 seats. More space for standees for sure.
