New Everton Stadium

Trafalgar and Bramley-Moore are the closest pieces of 'empty' dockland you can get to town. Either of those spots would be perfect imo.

Fair enough that they are the closest spots, but are they attractive from a surroundings perspective? I remember staying at the Malmaisson and there didn't seem to be much going on north (further away from town).

Being of the banks of the Mersey is pretty attractive! Plus the introduction of a stadium will only help to kick start the regeneration of the area.

I must say though, I love it down there as it is now. Some cracking old buildings.

I think in time that would change mate. I know what you mean regarding the Malmaison. The same applied to when I seen the Rum Warehouse ( Titanic ) and I thought it was quite a strange stand alone building and they had took a punt on purchasing it ( I think signature living gave something to do with that venue ). But I guess all it takes is a hotel, or a few new flats and then some more flats and then before you know it a huge stadium with links is built and the waterfront then becomes even bigger and more iconic.

I would be excited by any effort to get it on the waterfront, anywhere near the dock mentioned is no more than 10 minutes away from the Pier Head.

I'd be over the moon with a waterfront stadium but just trying to understand what it'd really be like. Doesn't sound quite as ideal as the echo arena in terms of walking distance to town, liverpool one, etc.

not far from town at all mate, maybe a good thing and ideal in the sense that it is ever so slightly out of the way that it may be a massive factor in it being a goer due to traffic logistics

Yep, hopefully Peel & Liverpool Waters help shift the waterfront north if we build a brand new stadium there.

I'm all for the waterfront... would rather build a new stadium in a great location or just stay at Goodison rather than end up in the middle of nowhere (Kirkby, Stonebridge Cross). We'll be stuck with the decision for 50+ years - better do it right.

As others have said mate, it's not really that far from town. I've been to a couple of 'raves' in the old tobacco warehouse down there and it's really simple to get to from town.

Bars, Restaurants, Hotels, Apartments, Everton Museum ;) are all bound to spring up in time.

Agreed mate, always been Goodison for me 1st option and of that can't be done the waterfront. Anywhere else is just not acceptable in my opinion.

I love Goodison, I really do but the chance to have an iconic stadium close to the Merseyside is just too much if an opportunity to screw over ( a 2nd time ).

We need to make it happen, it will elevate us to a status we have waited far too long to enjoy.

As a non-local now, are Trafalgar, Bramley Moore, or any of these docks in a prime location? They seem a bit far from Liverpool One, The Echo Arena, Albert Dock, etc.
They're not in a prime location but the area leading from the city centre up that way has been earmarked for development, so it would be a bit like getting in on the ground floor if we secured a stadium there.

It's a hell of a lot closer to town than L4 :)

Agree on this, Stonebridge Cross will just be a new playing surface but the waterfront will be a iconic stadium for the whole region to use, just look at the big gigs Man City have had recently, AC/DC, Stone Roses and more, we could do that. We, the club and the city, want more then a simple football ground, this is the only chance both of us will ever get.
