Thats a really, really old image. I think its from around 2007ish.
Just been looking at Trafalgar Dock
2 Miles from Kirkdale Station, so about a 20-30 minute walk depending on how quickly you walk
Not too bad. Any stations that are closer?
EDIT: Just noticed Bank Hall
The real shame here is that Zaha Hadid has passed away. If we managed to get her to design a stadium, even the outline design, then everybody would sit up and take notice. Outside of that that, then it really should be, or hopefully will be, Arup or Fosters and Partners who take the design on. Both have history of designing and creating some of the worlds most iconic stadiums.

Sandhills,and possibly Moorfields.
Ity might be nothing but this man works for Peel and Arup are at the International Festival for Business at Liverpool Waters today.
I am sure you will see car parks around Regent rd and Great Howard Street springing up on match days.Sandhills appears to be the closest
Currently I park in Bootle and walk down to the ground, but I might have to start leaving the car in the city centre and getting the train again, unless there's decent parking around the Dock area
Ideally I wouldn't want any more than a 30 minute walk really. I'm not against walking longer than that (I used to park up at Mount Pleasant and walk to the ground from there once upon a time), but it's just a bit inconveniant and time consuming

Moorfields would be my choice. Trafalgar Dock is probably the closest we'll ever get to the city centre.
Can you park at or near Moorfields?
Might just put in a new station EVERTON WATERFRONT CENTRAL.Just been looking at Trafalgar Dock

Not a problem if you're commuting from the Wirral greenbelt. This proposed build has obviously been designed to benefit this mighy peninsular, so there. Can you park at or near Moorfields?
