New Everton Stadium

Like AECOM, that WilsonOwensOwens has knocked up some good grounds - Mainly the Emirates

http://wilsonowensowens.com/projects/
I find the Emirates pretty awful, its like the red headed step child of these awful corporate bowls in England and from Middlesborough Sunderland Derby Miltonkeynes Etihad Wembley.

Speaking of the Emirates it looks grand outside and inside with the concourse and corporate but the actual ground from being a spectator, the roof is small and it has a open air gap at the back of the roof round the stadium and both these factors make for what is a pretty lame atmosphere, also its far from the pitch as well like Wembley.

Also all these new stadiums at euro2016 at Lyon Lille and Bordeaux all look the same inside the ground, only time you can tell them apart is when you see the grounds outside.

If anything they needs to be a revolution is new stadia and there is no uniqueness about them anymore,Allianze Benfica Juve Zenit Warzaw all modern stadiums in mainland Europe all have the same corporate bowl design and look the same inside,i find this design stale,a bit old hat and boring.

Best stadium for me in Europe which is the benchmark is the one at Dortmund with the 4 unique independent stands,no wonder they are reknowned for having the best atmosphere in Europe, another favorite is the one which is a shared ground with Genoa/Sampdoria,which is a smaller version of the Dortmund one but just stunning inside and out.

I don't read the fine print Mooms.

Someone a few weeks back suggested the same thing about this company.

A project of this size is not going to be in the hands of a fairly new company, will they have the resources in place of a project this size? Insurance capabilities?? Think the answer will be no.

It will go to one of the big boys in this field.

If tickets/ season tickets gave free travel on bus/train/ferry for 4 hours before a match and after.. parking would be less of an issue as you'd not bring your car into the city centre.

Something similar happens in Brisbane...don't know what the % take up is on it though. There is also a dedicated multi point staging area for taxis after the match. We were out and away 20mins after final whistle.

Unlike DK I didn't see 1000 places for bikes though.

I wouldn't worry that much about parking. Our support base is largely local and will be very used to using the city's infrastructure to get into town. You will then attract top corporates who will in all likelihood stay for the weekend or not flinch at paying large fees for parking. The out of town regular match goer which we will look to grow is more of a problem. We will have to look at park and ride schemes. There is very limited parking around a lot of the London ground (like Arsenal) so it's a problem that exists in other parts of the country.

In all honesty prioritising parking as a key factor in a new ground is a red herring. It will be a small price to pay but worthwhile.

You are correct. Free travel on buses and trains throughout Brisbane and also dedicated buses from 4 different suburban areas. I have used it a bit and looks like a fair few people do use it.

Take your point mate, and this is not a dig but do you know why "Everton's waterfront project" would be mentioned on there, surly they can't be blaging it.

HOK, who he was employed by prior to his current role were responsible for the outline designs of the Kings dock. That's all that is. It even says in the title that its a summary of his background, as in, not current role.
