New Everton Stadium

Been thinking about the new stadium issue...

With where it's (hopefully) going to be, I can't think of one single potential name for the new ground that doesn't sound rubbish.

"Kings Dock" sounded quality, but the docks that are likely to be the locations don't really lend themselves to a name quite so well.

Obviously this is ignoring naming rights...

Pretty certain there will be naming rights.

One of Mosharis concerns sounds very like Mettalica. That would be sound.

Oh of course there'll be naming rights - but every stadium that's been named for a company also has an actual name

Emirates: Ashburton Grove
Etihad: City of Manchester Stadium (or Eastlands, never quite sure)

Guess whatever dock (crosses fingers) it is nearest then.

Mind you, when this has been nattered about before, I always though The St Domingo Arena/Stadium/Park had a ring to it. And more than a nod to yesteryear.

Or just The St Domingo.

Trafalgar Dock I agree would be a brilliant name to give the stadium.

Please god let us get this one "over the line"this "project"will catapult us back where we belong IMHO,the big time,and I for one couldn't give a flying one what the reds think,this will be an iconic stadium and it will embody the heritage and also give a futuristic look/feel to a stadium as our wonderful goodison park gave many years ago as the first purpose built stadium in the land.
