Not really.
This stadium remains an expensive mistake that could blight our future for many years to come, regardless of its architectural significance.
Apparently, due to the euros, we are going to increase capacity by c10k quite quickly.
So we’ll be >60k within 2 years of moving.
The Kings Dock debacle will be seen as the moment Everton’s future was terminally damaged.
This stadium is the right idea at the wrong time.
It only worked as long as we had an owner willing to absorb the cost or at least to defray it.
Simply , we cannot afford it without an owner to underwrite it.
Too much stadium with too little money and too late in our story.
It’s to do with rail seating rather than normalIf we stay where we are how are we supposed to compete? The stadium brings in revenue streams we don't have access to at Goodison. Of course would have been better to have the KD stadium for way less money but that's gone. In 10 to 20 years our stadium might cost double what it was now. Heck it went up 50% in the couple of years we built it. Inflation will make it more affordable and we will see more of the benefit. Staying at Goodison while other clubs pull ahead of us commercially is a recipe for us dropping down the leagues in these times of PSR.
We are struggling to pay for what we have let alone whack an extension on that a) would be more expensive than cooking it into the build beforehand and b) would struggle to be ready in time for the euros anyhow. There is also a c) that for the extra 7k GA increase it doesn't make financial sense as the income the seats generate would take so many years to payback the £100m to expand.
We may get safe standing increases but these would add hundreds to the capacity up to a maximum of a couple of thousand come the end.
There is never a right time to lay out £750 million. In your world it just would never be built.

Seating rather than extending. Them across the park are introducing rail seating for the 24-25 season in the kop
Not sure we know. I'd guess 40,000 tops. And how many Season tickets do we know ?
I’m literally just quoting something that came from the vid.If we stay where we are how are we supposed to compete? The stadium brings in revenue streams we don't have access to at Goodison. So perhaps 8-10k more than now. Say £5-7m additional income (but possibly more cost too)Not sure we know. I'd guess 40,000 tops.
Not really
That all depends what sort of clout any future new owners have.
The dynamics change massively with a cash rich owner and a huge stadium naming rights deal.
Problem is as always finding the right owners.
I’m literally just quoting something that came from the vid.
I don’t think the expansion would cost anywhere near 100m tbh.
Fingers crossed mate , our luck looks like changingthe latter is the only thing that can save this club

The best time to lay out £750 million is when you have £750million to lay out , or when you have someone to borrow it from at preferential rates. If we stay where we are how are we supposed to compete?
