New Everton Stadium

Will not happen as that would ultimately block the Albert, Salthouse, Coburg and Canning Dock from the Brunswick Basin and the lock gates.

To be fair though, the whole belief that the stadium may actually happen at the King's Dock is nothing but fanciful - it will not happen!

I don't care if it is Plan A, B or bloody Z as the area has only recently had a comprehensive extension added, demolishing it is ridiculous.

It definitely is possible if it actually is the plan B. They wouldnt waste time into undoable.
There's a rather large difference between something being possible (building a stadium there certainly is), and something ultimately being feasible.

Personally, the current infrastructure in place, recent developments and when combined with the cost of any redevelopment dismisses the latter.

Don't get me wrong, I would love it to be at the King's Dock but I really cannot seeing it happening there. It's purely contingency planning!

Sounds promising all this. Just one little thing........ cost? How will it be paid for? Moshiri might be loaded but he won't be giving us 3-400 million for nothing, are we going to be saddled with debt or will he be seeking an additional investor? Long term loans?

I think we just have faith that that has been boxed off already, cos there is no way we would be talking like this if there was any doubt finance was in place/available/arranged.

How, or who, not a clue.

Esks shouts about sites and especially about stadium drawings indicate that theres massive things going on behind the scenes...I hope things go smoothly and we would hear something official rather soon.

I don't want it at KD. As a city we have so much there already. A move to Trafalgar Dock would absolutely revolutionise that stretch of the waterfront. We build a brilliant stadium at TD and businesses, bars, restaurants, shops will follow. Why knock down an already thriving part of town when we can play a part in bringing another part up to the level it deserves to be?
