New Everton Stadium

Bill and Co did all right out of it..........just saying

Lerner aside (as Villa went down), can you name any filthy rich PL club owners who've lost their shirts on their investment in recent years?

Or any current PL club owners who've invested more into their clubs than their current Forbes valuation would see them return should they sell?
Hicks and Gillett

Just seen UNESCO have told Liverpool to stop building new developments or risk losing its world heritage status

It's Liverpool waters who want to build around the city but don't know how big the UNESCO 'zone' is and if it includes the docks further down, just wondering if it would effect us in building a new stadium

Moshiri is in it for the money.
I believe he is in it to make a good profit, which he knows he can only achieve by advancing EFC substantially from its current position. The finances of the club simply do not afford an owner a guaranteed payout for no real input.

For Moshiri to make the kind of gains he's no doubt looking for, delivery of a new stadium and title challenges/wins will be part of that process.

Oooohhh no, how devastating it would be for Liverpool to lose its UNESCO heritage status! No-one will ever come to the docks again!

'k UNESCO, it's not worth the paper it's written on.

Agree with you, UNESCO would have us living in slums if it ment looking after a sky line, investment and a city/ stadium of the future or world heritage site, progress wins everytime

It's nice to be acknowledged in the same breath as some of the worlds finest locations, but I'd say just the area of the 3 graces and Albert Dock should be considered a World Heritage Site, nothing more.

Yes definitely just the 3 graces, there zone goes right back to lime street where they want to stop student accommodation being built, £5.5bn of investment and they reckon the city should say no, anyway when Moshiri builds are stadium he can stick a big 'koff unesco' across the roof

Whats your view @The Esk ?

Doubt it has anything to do with it mate to be honest.

I'd also challenge the view that it's taking 'so' long. This is a complex decision for the City, for Peel, for other potential developers and most importantly Everton.

From a standing start we can't expect to see significant plans in the public domain after just a few months. The fact is we are negotiating to build one of the premier sporting stadia this country has ever seen in one of the most sensitive development areas - it takes time.
