There’s just no way Bramley Moore would’ve been built if it hadn’t started when it did.

Inflation alone would make it unaffordable, let alone all the other crises stacked on top.

Assuming we survive the next couple of years, we may well think we’ve been incredibly lucky.

Even if it currently doesn’t feel that way.

What's the alternative? It was always a political issue, never mind the fact there's some better none league teams stadiums.

That also have also been in disrepair for longer.

Shocker, said it at the time, no way it will be built for the Euros.

Been following this for over a decade now, long before the Euros, huge pity for the City and the people of the North.

Belfast is a great City, sad that it looses out again.

You would have thought United will go ahead. If they are looking at the capacity they said they wanted then they'll need to stump up 2-2.5 billion quid for the pleasure.

They said the games would be dished out to the other stadiums already in the bid.

This particular stadium idea was a politically motivated exercise from day one. It would have been a gargantuan white elephant.

That’s probably a blessing in disguise. There was an article recently in a the Daily Mail about this Casement Park site. Many people were uneasy about this site being chosen because of a very tainted history.
The newspaper article said this site was where the 2 soldiers who inadvertently drove into an IRA funeral procession, and were subsequently dragged out of their car, were driven to Casement Park where they were then tortured and killed.
I’m very relieved that Casement Park will not be a venue at the Euros.
