New Everton Stadium

Massive stadiums for GAA considering the small population of the RoI.

I should imagine the Aviva will take another game or two that would have been at Casement Park.
They certainly are big but Cork had two home championship games in hurling there, one was full, the other about 40k
They will get about 20k for league games depending on the opposition.
This is for hurling but football would not be as well supported.
They also host concerts, Ed Sheeran filled the place a couple of times.

They need to generate funds every year.

I think they would Dave.
They have already allowed a fundraiser for a former soccer player who died and left a young family behind.
They have also allowed rugby games there.

There is a big debt on the stadium and they will look at anything that can generate money.

The terraces at either end may be an issue but I have been to around half a dozen games there this year and the noise from the terraces add hugely to the excitement. I would guess you could install temporary seating.
There would certainly be no trouble selling tickets for sure.
Just wonder whether Uefa have a rule against stadia with no continuous roof?

Uefa's stadia guidelines are quite rigorous.

What would it take to bring Windsor park up to capacity?
Think it's about 10k short.
Considering the last world cup had temporary stadiums made out of shipping containers, surely something can be done for football in Belfast.

Although I'm an Irish catholic from the south, I'll never forget the hospitality of Linfield fans towards my home team in the Setanta cup years ago. Once we all agreed that we'd never agree on politics but both had a mutual hatred of Dundalk, everything was great!

Stupid that theres two leagues on a tiny island.
Instead of pumping money in to the GAA, use this event to push an all island league. Bring windsor up to scratch to host and make sure league club grounds get substantial proceeds from the tournament.
Got their money and built too small (apparently the ground underneath couldn't support more), blocked the Kesh project and delayed/denied the Casement development. Let them rot.

Although with the size of the average orange loyalist the capacity is probably double what they normally count.

We’ll probably be the last purpose built stadium in the UK for sometime.

Dundee FC are at the planning permission stage I believe on a new "football campus" as they are known these days!

BBC Sport - Dundee FC grand designs

Looks quite nice and becoming for a historic football club, worth watching for anyone with the stadium bug once BMD is complete.
