Sightlines would be exactly the same if the gradient was constant. That being said, maybe there is a slight difference in the upper and lower. The Green Guide recommends a max of 25 degrees for safe standing but the lower Tier is definitely steeper than that. Think we're somewhere inbetween 2 and 3 on the below.

At constant gradient, c-value drops for each row. That's why most single tier stands are at 2 or 3 different gradients.

Only because the distance from the pitch gets greater and therefore the distance to the focal point, it doesn't effect the field of vision which is more what I was getting at.

I couldn't tell you whether maintaining the same grade on the entire South Stand would have reduced the >90 value it currently achieves. I don't believe it would.

I hope the club/Peel/council do something with it soon.
It's a wonderful structure that has a big part in the city's maritime history and should be preserved no matter what it costs. Wouldn't cost much in the grand scheme of things.

Surprised if Peel actually pay for it, they don't typically shell out for things they can't make money off!

I'm sure I read somewhere a while ago about a developer of another site in Liverpool Waters offering to potentially complete the pedestrian route up to Bramley Moore from the Ferry Terminal. Perhaps whoever completes that will refurb it? I'm sure there would be grants and the like available to help fund it given it's listed status and historical importance.

I do think a lot of opinions will change once the stadium is open and full on a match day. Clearly a lot of reservations are around the inside (not that I agree with them) but it's difficult to judge an empty stadium as ultimately they all look similar, lets be honest. I've no doubt the WOW factor will come from the proximity to the pitch, steepness of the stands and hopefully the noise.
