New Everton Stadium

I just wonder if there was enough space to actually fit the corporate boxes or if its really tight in that upper tier in the concourse mate.
But why, if it's really tight, not just extend the seats to the back wall like the away section?

Yeah, that's probably my thinking too
I just cant figure out why they didnt put boxes along the north stand.
If you look at the away section of the north stand (last block on the right before the angle), the seats extend right to the top of the lower tier so it's not like it was structurally impossible to do this in the home section (rest of the north) due to site restricitons.
There has to be the possibility of adding boxes at a later date, otherwise why build it like this?
I think / hope they have done enough research on demand to qualify the number of boxes / corporate as it would be insane not to have sufficient facilities for what are basically the highest return seats in the house.
Personally I think they have, and the mix they have of boxes, loges and premium seating with degrees of corp food and drink I suspect is pretty much spot to meet demand.

I would imagine so too.
I'm not having a pop, more just curious as to the design.
Why 80% looks one way and 20% another.
This actually looks like it may be designed to add extra boxes with pretty minimal hassle.

Would be great if we can get the team to a point where we can warrant expanding the capacity and it can be done with out turning BMD into something out of the spare parts bin like that hole up the road from GP!

I would imagine it's doable by extending the north stand out over the waste management property.
At that point it's just a cost/return question. It'd be a huge cost for the cheapest seats in the house.

This is why in my humble opinion it will never be done. It would be a huge cost for 3 or so thousand seats. You would need to be adding 3k of premium seating to justify.

A 3rd tier on the East stand would be the one if we ever got to that point. You could probably add 8k and a row of boxes. I don't expect any changes for decades, they will try and get the capacity up through safe standing and boxes could be added to the East stand between the tiers.

That said it's a lot more likely than it was a few days ago. To think we might only owe as a club 100, maybe 200m at worst for the stadium is just astonishing from where we were.

Outside looks fantastic, inside looks good too but I'll reserve any judgement on that till I set foot inside and watch a game in anger. As long as I can get a pint quicker than I do at GP then it's a plus. That being said, I'm not old enough to have seen any success at Goodison (nearly 40) and always thought I'd be made up to leave. But now, the closer it gets the more nervous i am about it... it's not just the stadium BTW, it's everything, my pre match routine with my arl fella, being able to leave the ale house 5 mins before kick off... after the game. The complete horror show we've been off the pitch causing a complete disconnect between fans and club. I'm sure I'll love it. But will I still get that same feeling I do now each time I walk up them steps in the Lower Gwladys that I got when I was 3 years old and still get now, seeing the Main Stand hulking over me, the park end slowly appearing... over to you Everton.

Un remarkable ?
Yup, lacks a little character architecturally, in my view. I think the huge glass facades at each end take a little something from it, too. Early days, yet, so let's see what it's like with people. It does evoke a certain claustrophobia from what I have seen so far, so I think observations now and merely that, observations.

The North Stand makes it look like an upmarket, better-appointed Aviva. People might not like that observation, but the dip takes a little bit from the new stadium. Croke Park suffers from the same problem. Where Bramley-Moore succeeds however is in masking that from the outside, something the two Irish stadia fail to do.
This is why I'm sceptical about people saying it'll generate a great atmosphere- my experience of grounds with high roofs is that it tends to be difficult to get anything going in those parts. So whilst the south stand might be great the rest might be a bit meh.
