But why, if it's really tight, not just extend the seats to the back wall like the away section?I just wonder if there was enough space to actually fit the corporate boxes or if its really tight in that upper tier in the concourse mate.

I think / hope they have done enough research on demand to qualify the number of boxes / corporate as it would be insane not to have sufficient facilities for what are basically the highest return seats in the house.Yeah, that's probably my thinking too
I just cant figure out why they didnt put boxes along the north stand.
If you look at the away section of the north stand (last block on the right before the angle), the seats extend right to the top of the lower tier so it's not like it was structurally impossible to do this in the home section (rest of the north) due to site restricitons.
There has to be the possibility of adding boxes at a later date, otherwise why build it like this?
I would imagine so too.I think / hope they have done enough research on demand to qualify the number of boxes / corporate as it would be insane not to have sufficient facilities for what are basically the highest return seats in the house.
Personally I think they have, and the mix they have of boxes, loges and premium seating with degrees of corp food and drink I suspect is pretty much spot to meet demand.
Would be great if we can get the team to a point where we can warrant expanding the capacity and it can be done with out turning BMD into something out of the spare parts bin like that hole up the road from GP!I would imagine so too.
I'm not having a pop, more just curious as to the design.
Why 80% looks one way and 20% another.
This actually looks like it may be designed to add extra boxes with pretty minimal hassle.
But why, if it's really tight, not just extend the seats to the back wall like the away section?
ah, there ya go. That explains that. The bit between the tiers is a accessible seating platform and not hospitality boxes.
I would imagine it's doable by extending the north stand out over the waste management property.Would be great if we can get the team to a point where we can warrant expanding the capacity and it can be done with out turning BMD into something out of the spare parts bin like that hole up the road from GP!
Un remarkable ?I think the interior of the stadium is a little unremarkable, to be honest, but - and this is the important bit - it feels absolutely claustrophobic from those pitch shots. That's exactly what we want: a breathless experience for the opposition.

At that point it's just a cost/return question. It'd be a huge cost for the cheapest seats in the house.
Yup, lacks a little character architecturally, in my view. I think the huge glass facades at each end take a little something from it, too. Early days, yet, so let's see what it's like with people. It does evoke a certain claustrophobia from what I have seen so far, so I think observations now and merely that, observations.Un remarkable ?
The North Stand makes it look like an upmarket, better-appointed Aviva. People might not like that observation, but the dip takes a little bit from the new stadium. Croke Park suffers from the same problem. Where Bramley-Moore succeeds however is in masking that from the outside, something the two Irish stadia fail to do.
The south stand concourse coming on very nicely indeed. Very Romanesque. The Friedkins will be delighted
This is why I'm sceptical about people saying it'll generate a great atmosphere- my experience of grounds with high roofs is that it tends to be difficult to get anything going in those parts. So whilst the south stand might be great the rest might be a bit meh.The North Stand makes it look like an upmarket, better-appointed Aviva.
