I hope the word ‘Bank’ is not in the name of the stadium, we all know how that’s going to be used in rhyme and slang by the wider footballing community

I actually find myself looking at that and thinking 'he's got a point.'
But it's just what football stadia look like.
If you mean in the sense that they've both got plastic seats and a football pitch inside then I'd wholeheartedly agree...other than that they're completely different.

And just to show it's not seat colour dependant:

The common theme is none of those look like the Riverside.
Young Boys play at the Wankdorf stadiumI hope the word ‘Bank’ is not in the name of the stadium, we all know how that’s going to be used in rhyme and slang by the wider footballing community
Bank of America, apparently@gedefc in all seriousness though mate...spill the beans.
I'd be happy with that. It's a lot cleaner sounding than some awful energy drink company or something like that. The Bank of America Stadium. Could've been a lot worse - if this is right.Bank of America, apparently
Even by banking standards Wells Fargo are a horrid company
Bank of America, apparently
I'd be happy with that mate.Bank of America, apparently
Not commenting on the accuracy or otherwise of this, but a sponsor's name like that would never stick.Bank of America, apparently
Can't wait to experience the hew arena and be one of the first to enter the gates of the Fannie Mae.Heard the naming rights deal is close, and it's apparently a well known American bank
Yea, and it's not like the riverside looks terrible inside.I actually find myself looking at that and thinking 'he's got a point.'
But it's just what football stadia look like.
Absolutely.Yea, and it's not like the riverside looks terrible inside.
Thing is tho, BMD holds almost 20 thousand more so the riverside is basically just BMD's lower tiers.
I'd imagine the difference in real life is far greater than in these photos.
I think we'll all pretty much call it Bramley won't we.Not commenting on the accuracy or otherwise of this, but a sponsor's name like that would never stick.
It's one thing referring to "The Etihad" or "The Emirates" or "The AMEX" or whatever... but "The Bank of America" is not something any Evertonian would say.
It's too wordy, and can't be abbreviated. Even "The BOA" is clumsy to say with two vowels at the end.
Whatever it is needs to be easier to say than "Bramley Moore" - or that's what it will always be.
