New Everton Stadium

I wonder if those far ends of the concourse will even actually publicly accessible? Might be set aside for storage or whatever but essentially back of house areas ant each end of the concourse.
Must be a floor plan out there somewhere that would confirm or not 🤞🏼

Deffo mate, that's what I mean as in it looks like there's no access and I seen a white wall. So they could be storage. Just thought it looked a bit crap tbh having the ends not proper see through glass as I always assumed they were stickers that needed to be peeled off.

or kitchens or summat, that need light coming in but dont need us to see in. ike you say, the plans should enlighten us but I cba looking back.

Do you know the glass window concourse on the South Stand, have you noticed how 4 windows on each end aren't proper see through glass? I thought they just needed something peeling off but I noticed on a video today where you could see inside and looked like a wall, so I'm guessing the 4 windows at the end of each side you won't be able to look out of in the South stand concourse.

Indeed. Always makes me laugh when they say about the end glass piece on the East side, you can see behind it there is nothing!

Like you say it is walled off:

Also gives you a better sense of scale having those next to each other like that. The space between that wall and the bar is the same as that obscured by the wall. I wouldn't mind betting that is a slightly larger distance than the accessible Park End concourse.

Does anyone think there is a possibility of the blue water effect paving sinking in the east plaza in years to come due to the settlement of the dock infill, just like they will need to keep the pitch level due to the same thing has it being on the infill?

No.

Here are some other aspects of the construction of the stadium:

Piling
Continuous flight auger (CFA) piles were used to create a podium for the superstructure. The piles were driven 18 meters into the sandstone below the dock infill. Floor slabs were placed on top of the piles to increase stability.

Flood management
The stadium was raised above future flood levels to protect it from the River Mersey.

Took some non-local work colleagues for a drive by today. All stunned by the size in person and complexity of the exterior design. But the total lack of the Leitch pattern on the brickwork was big issue raised. It has bugged me for a while. Almost worse because you occasionally spot a tiny random patch of it, then nothing around it.

Has this ever been addressed?? The most recent official renders show it still, maybe not as prominent as the original over the top contrast. Old clip from on site when the panels first started going up saying how detailed everything had to be to get the right bricks in the right spots etc, so didn’t sound like a treatment to be applied post-completion. Meis interviewed right in front of it last month, nothing like he envisaged.

Tbf we’d be waiting until 2028/29 to move in if I worked on site. I’d have had every brick colour matched to avoid this unevenness on brighter days.

One thing I would say is BMD is looking like a really elegant stadium combining 'old' with new in a well-designed, sleek way. It's coming along beautifully.

Whilst Zenit's stadium is the fugliest stadium built this century with horrifically overblown architecture and laughably tacky faux-classical entrances just to add to the awfulness. 🤮
