It is perfectly possible to embrace it fully without feeling the need to exaggerate or ignore the basic facts. Nor is it ever moaning to state the facts.
You say yourself that it's a miracle that thing was built given the parlace financial state it created in the process. Precisely the issues that caused the type of reservations and fears some have had from the start. Hopefully, the end will justify the means.
For some now there still appears to be some misgivings about capacity (or future-proofing) and for others transport/parking etc.
For me, I'm fairly contented with the capacity as it is quite a step up, and given the costs incurred for that, I think any additional costs could've easily sunk us completely. Future-Proofing by achievable expansion might be overly expensive and problematic but perhaps the relatively cheap acquisition by the new owners might make that more viable now.
I have some concerns about transport, especially if too many people are still insistent on using their cars, as I think they will be in for a very rude awakening, as will the rest of us due to the resultant grid lock they cause. However, due chiefly to the proximity of town, I don't believe those issues are insurmountable, and again am hopeful that it will balance out with time.
At the end of the day, isn't this type of discussion that these threads are for?
