New Everton Stadium

Love the blue steps, nice touch 👌

The finished look is the ones immediately to the right of the main access tunnel when looking at the West stand from the Mersey. These just have a dark blue/black line across the edge. The ones that look very blue are due to the fact they have masking tape on them at the moment while they paint that edge.

Any estimates on how much power those solars can generate? Enough to keep the ground running on those alone, with connection to the grid as a backup? Interested to know whether they are charging batteries reserved for electricals in the stadium.
Doubt there's anything as complex as that. I expect they will just sell electricity to the grid through the day to offset costs

They are both great, but I think the West Stand will be considered the main stand.

It’s also where the tunnel and the dugout are.

But it is where the poshest boos will come from mate so I don't think it deserves an outright "main stand" accolade.

Nope, not me. I'll be standing where the Paddock used to be (in the future when it isn't there) and I'll be booing long, hard and loud enough to make those West Stand Loge loving toffs quake in their posh Bobby brown shoes.

I’m pretty sure there will be / already is battery storage. I remember reading about it, and it’s increasingly the norm for major solar installs like this one.

It makes sense at a location that will only be at full occupancy and full energy usage once every week or two.

Also makes sense for helping to power floodlights at night.

You’ll be well within your rights to give them what for from 2 miles away, mate.

Honestly, the nerve of those people.

Oh, jolly bad show.

Good job an all.
Wrong blue if they were a nod to our kits not to mention it would just look completely out of character imho.

Tom; the bullens is a wooden rotten mess that can't maintained. You should of all people know that.

Yes, they've been saying it would lose its safety cert for decades haha. Rotten mess or piece of classic Leitch stadium architecture? Only the treads and risers are wooden. They can be replaced. The rest is over-engineered steel, brick and concrete. Fulham have a simple single tier Leitch stand, it is held in reverence. Rangers, similarly with their Leitch double-decker, so much so that they spent a fortune adding an upper tier. Liverpool built a 20k stand around their much older and again much more basic Leitch mainstand....

Oh, that’s a shame I quite liked the bolder blue look. Never mind it still looks amazing.
