New Everton Stadium

Joe Anderson is clearly doing his job at trying to flog a dead piece of land to someone with a load of money.

But Moshiri isnt stupid, the Waterfront may never come off so he has to look at other options - Stonebridge Cross is unfortunately one of them.

Do think the Clubs first choice is far and away the Waterfront.

Hopefully, one purpose of today's meeting was for Farhad to update Joe on how it is going with Peel. Maybe it was good news, maybe it wasn't or events have yet to fully unfold. But the very public Twitter photo suggests it went well, and well for Moshiri means the docks.

Just think what it would be like - next to the East Lancs, a stones throw from Home Bargains, the smell of the turd farm breezing through the stadium on a hot day. The stuff of dreams (nightmares) lol

Why you been part of the already advanced planning process mate?
Joe Anderson hopes us to be in a new stadium in a couple of years. I wouldn't have thought any state of the art stadium as previously mentioned by others on here would be anywhere near built in that time.

I suspect JA is quoting the "two years" thing as he is speaking with his Mayor hat on (SC is the preferred site of the Council due to regeneration and job creation). I wouldn't read anything into it - a stadium of the standard that has been rumoured on the docks would be at least 3 years away.

Maybe the 2 years comment is referring to the basic structure, ie steelworks. I think somebody commented earlier that we would make a sizeable saving in steel purchase before we leave the eu, which is in about 2 years.
