New Everton Stadium

That's true, but you can bet if Manchester had a waterfront like ours - with space to build a stadium - they'd be there in a shot.
True but point I was trying to make is look at what they have built, of SC ended up the only realistic option open to the club (which it would have to be if moshiri gave up on the docks) and we ended up building something even 3/4 as good as that as well as regenerated the area I wouldn't be to upset

If the club didn't think that the docks was feasible, I'm sure they would be leaking stories about the difficulties to the media, in order to lower fans expectations. They know there is huge excitement about the docks site and there will be massive disappointment if it's suddenly announced we are moving to SC.

Another note on Moshiri Mick, not only was he a sharedholder during the Arsenal stadium build, but his business partner Uzmanov was the chair Director of Gazprom and by proxy Zenit for the large part of their current (ongoing since 2008) new stadium build - which also happens to be a waterfront development, so he has seen first hand how it's done.

To see those two stadia and then go for the option in the arse end of nowhere - just wopuld strike me as very very odd - and would set alarm bells ringing

That's a good point. I forget about Moshiri's past life sometimes! lol

Gradually the wish list we all had when Moshiri came on board is being fulfilled and put together.

Great times ahead.

For me mate, whatever else Moshiri does, he will be judged on this one issue ultimately, he goes for SC - then sorry but he could throw money at the team all he wants - ultimately the bricks and mortar which will stand long after all the players are long gone would remain, and if he wants his legacy to be the bloke who moves us out of our spiritual home into the arse end of nowhere then he will go the SC route, IF he truly wants to be the man to take this club back to greatness - don't do it by doing effectively a DK Version2

Good point, I quess...

That's pure conjecture, a docklands site, though more complex to pull off is far likely to have a greater ROI for Moshiri and the club than SC site.

It would have been easier and cheaper not to pay out Koeman's contract at Southampton also.
The fact that we got Koeman does not make a docklands stadium more credible. Moshiri is a businessman who means business and is steadily overhauling EFC. This is fantastic and a cause for much optimism but a pattern is slowly emerging that indicates the level we're finding.

Fantasy manager Mourinho / Emmery . We got Koeman which was a great coup.
Fantasy DOF Monchi. We got Walsh. Another coup.
Fantasy board David Dein and Gilvary of BP. We got Alexander Ryazantsev + Denise Barrett-Baxendale.
Fantasy stadium Docklands. We're getting?

Who said the board is finalised?, it's this type of constant negativity which is sucking every ounce of enjoyment from this summer

Like good business men do...and now he's using docks to get brilliant deal for EFC from LCC?

That's the negativity you're referring to? I'm making it clear that the Moshiri revolution is great for us and I applaud and welcome it but I'm simply trying to apply a realistic dimension to the unrealistic hyper positive perspective. I also do the same in regards to the negative version. I also acknowledge that a new board member may well be appointed in future but I'm now confident that it won't be David Dein as that doesn't seem to be the 'level' this very welcome club overhaul is finding.

Their setup is top class and I don't think they'd have been able to do it water front?

I think they've made the most of what they got given (pretty literally)

And don't forget the possibility of David Dein joining - who apparently had a hand in The Emirates project. I doubt he would be excited with "Come on Dave, join us. We'll build a stadium in the middle of nowhere. Next to a sewage farm. It'll be great!".
