Great to read they have interest in Nelson Dock. Might be the start of an Everton Campus and not just a stadium. The potential there is really exciting.

When you look at what man city's owners have done and still doing its unbelievable I know they have a bottomless pit of money but if are owners are going to be tfg and they are ambitious like city's are the sky's the limit

Whilst it's not the sole reason for what they have done, the ability to invest in 'infrastructure' like they have without it impacting PSR is one way of increasing their revenues. They have completely transformed that area for the better and have done far more than United have around Old Trafford.

I'll be honest, 52,000 was always a really low capacity for a new stadium. They should have made it 65,000. Hopefully this new lot can put that right.

The study was clearly wrong then. The stadium will sell out every week and it will still be impossible for the casual match going fan to get a ticket. At least these new owners seem to have some ambition regarding our potential.

Then it should have a 10k larger capacity. I'm pretty sure someone with the ability of Dan Meis could have put another tier on each stand.

Yes, and will be done around 2-3 years from now. How has it being less than 55k effected their ability to be the best in the land?

Or did they become the best in the land, and THEN decide to expand?

Selling out wouldn't have made the extra 10k profitable

This is something I can buy into. City's Etihad Campus is marvellous, and the quality of the training pitches, education facilities, food etc. is top-notch.

Having to spend a fair bit of time there, you appreciate how good it is compared to what most other teams have, including Everton.

Zero chance the council let us fill in Nelson Dock and build pitches etc. The maximum TFG could do would be build hotels and restaurants around it, close to what is planned already.

All this news of stadium expansion (of any significance) is a bit fanciful at the moment.

People are still thinking a slightly bigger capacity is just for EFC home games every fortnight, during the football season. Its also about attracting other big competition games and major events, bringing lots of extra money in, etc. Glad they are (reportedly) thinking bigger!
