Can they make a start now...Anybody know how long it is estimated it will take for Goodison to be demolished? And when that work is due to start?

As was every other ground in the mid 80s .... if you check the figures I think we had the 3rd highest average with teams like Spurs. Arsenal, Villa, Newcastle etc lagging well behind. We could have filled a bigger ground for the first year or so, but unless we get challenging for silverware or the top 6 there`ll be a drop off in interest. In the eighties the ground held about 58k with standing room when we were top of the pile, but in a short space of time there were lots of games when there was plenty of empty seats in the ground. The reason we`ve been selling out this and last season is because we`re approaching the end of Goodison. If we continue with finishes in the bottom half and early cup exits, a 60k + stadium would have a lot of empty seats.
Anyway we`ll see how we get on filling 52K every game for the foreseeable future.
Turn up the HeatLooks like a gas hob at the minute
Meis has been questioned about capacity many times Dave.A few people have stated TFG haven't said a word about this, but I think Meis involving himself in the conversation probably means there has been conversations about the capacity and he sounds touchy as hell over it.
My take on it is that they've probably used the issue - which is a non-issue now for the foreseeable - to underline their ambitions to supporters, knowing it wont coast them a cent in doing so.
saw it in then flesh tonight, albeit from a distance and the blue lamps look crap. The police headquarters has better blue mood lightingMy only criticism is the blue LED spotlights
He won't, as another premier league team won't employ him.If Dyche manages a team at BMD hopefully it will be the opposition
Yeah, but he's clearly rattled.Meis has been questioned about capacity many times Dave.
Well before TFG came on the scene.
Nothings changed , bar a couple of attention seekers looking for clicks , surprised you fell for that tbh.
Have a read of the Roma fans forums Dave , they don't let anything out at all.Yeah, but he's clearly rattled.
As I said above: I dont think it does TFG any harm to put out a few whispers that they'd have been more ambitious with the stadium.

When they bought Roma there was a statement off them , then zilch.
It's not their style at all.
just an Athletic hack followed by our self appointed Everton specialist pushing nonsense out.
You of all people are usually all over this.
Not a chance they walk in the front door and even suggest they're gonna commit themselves to hundreds of millions of quid on an expansion of a stadium that's yet to have a ball kicked in it.I haven't fallen for anything. I've stated that this expansion is not an issue for the foreseeable. But I can conceivably see a consortium wanting to put out there stories concerning their ambitions for the club stadium.
They'll sweat this facility as much as possible. I think journalists are picking up on that and going the dots up on their behalf.
I'd say the last billionaire did a few dumbass things....Not a chance they walk in the front door and even suggest they're gonna commit themselves to hundreds of millions of quid on an expansion of a stadium that's yet to have a ball kicked in it.
Billionaires don't become billionaires by doing dumbass stuff
David....there's no one putting any stories out other than 2 attention seekers trying to make them relevant.I haven't fallen for anything. I've stated that this expansion is not an issue for the foreseeable. But I can conceivably see a consortium wanting to put out there stories concerning their ambitions for the club stadium.
